About the Role:
Mass Virtual has an immediate opening for a Cloud Engineer to assist in growing our cloud infrastructure. The successful candidate should be well versed in multiple cloud technologies along with CI/CD platform tools. They will be analyzing and advising on performance, availability, and scalability. This role will be involved with validating emerging technologies that can impact or improve our current cloud platforms. They will support the organization in Cloud best practices and supporting technologies to enable such capabilities as DevSecOps, Big Data/Analytics, AI, Micro-Services.
What you’ll be doing:
Designing, developing, and testing solutions for on-prem or Cloud platforms
Support DevOps operations by integrating into CI/CD pipeline build
Install, configure, automate, and monitor various Cloud Services
Architect, design, develop, troubleshoot, and implement new cloud solutions
Work closely with the Development team to support Cloud application, database, and network performance
Work closely with the IT security team to ensure the applications and solutions are secure and compliant
What you need to succeed:
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field
4+ years of cloud design, engineering, and administration experience
7+ years of general IT experience
Senior level experience with AWS
Knowledge of ITIL processes and experience evolving to Agile development lifecycles
Knowledge in Azure Active Directory, Roles, and Policies
Knowledge in database and network provisioning and optimization
Knowledge in IT security & IAM
Hands on experience with DevOps/Automation tools including Jenkins, Git, Gitlab
Eligible to obtain a Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
Great to have:
Master’s degree in a STEM field
Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and containerization with scaling
Experience and certification in cloud technologies
Production experience running scaled application services and Kubernetes workloads
Experience with IP networking, VPNs, DNS, load balancing and firewalling concepts
