About the Role:
Mass Virtual is looking for a passionate Unity Developer. You will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining software tools used by developers, artists, and other team members. Your primary responsibility will be to implement and develop fixes and enhancements using scripting languages.
What you will be doing:
• Unity Expertise: Demonstrate an understanding of the Unity game engine, including its core features, scripting, and asset integration capabilities. Leverage Unity’s latest features and technologies to enhance simulations realism and performance
• Feature Development: Implement new features and enhancements for applications
• Implementation of Fixes and Enhancements: Develop and implement support fixes and enhancements using scripting languages
• Collaboration: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including software engineers, artists, designers, and subject matter experts to gather requirements and ensure seamless integration of simulations components
• Keep up-to-date with the latest Unity and development trends, tools, and technologies
What you need to succeed:
• 2+ years of professional experience as a Unity Developer
• Ability to develop tools in Unity (C#), Maya (MEL/Python), and other software to assist various teams in creating and maintaining product lines
• Able to identify and incorporate automation and data validation of existing components
• Ability to update and maintain existing developer tools
• Knowledge of custom Unity inspector layouts and UI toolkits
• Solid understanding of 3D and Virtual Reality
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on challenging and innovative projects
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effective with multidisciplinary teams
• Eligible to obtain a Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
Great to have:
• Experience in writing code documentation
• Experience in Unreal Engine
• Proficient in 3D mathematics
• 3D modeling knowledge
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Game Development or a related field
