Accelerating Saccadic Response Through Spatial and Temporal Cross-modal Misalignments
DescriptionWe investigate how auditory cues affect saccadic latency to a visual target, showing that preceding sounds can significantly reduce latency. We study several factors: eccentricity of the visual stimulus and spatio-temporal shifts of the audio stimulus. We discuss various applications and validate our findings in a more realistic setting.
