Ray Tracing Harmonic Functions
DescriptionWe introduce a sphere-tracing-like method for visualizing surfaces encoded as level sets of harmonic functions. We show examples visualizing smooth surfaces from point clouds or polygon soups (without linear solves or mesh extraction), nonplanar polygons, architectural grid shells, mesh "exoskeletons", and key mathematical objects including Seifert and Riemann surfaces.
