A Heat Method for Generalized Signed Distance
DescriptionThe signed distance function (SDF) is a fundamental quantity in geometry processing, but the SDF is not well defined for geometry with topological or geometric errors such as holes, outliers, and self-intersections. Our method computes a _generalized signed distance_ directly from broken curves and surfaces, without explicit surface repair.
