Enhancing Fleet Efficiency and Predictive Maintenance with Digital Twins on OCI, NVIDIA Omniverse, and NVIDIA cuOPT
DescriptionIn this demo, we use NVIDIA Omniverse to showcase the use of a digital twin for manufacturing and transport with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The digital twins are digital replicas of physical assets and help to monitor, simulate and optimize operational performance in real time, increasing operational efficiency and improving decision making. This demonstration leverages a digital twin of a fleet of delivery vehicles. Vehicle telematics data from real-world GPS, fuel-usage, and engine-health data are ingested into OCI. Within NVIDIA Omniverse, an interactive 3D model of the fleet is created and continuously updated with fleet management, predictive maintenance and health monitoring, and route optimization.
This demonstration showcases the potential of OCI’s secure, elastic AI Infrastructure and NVIDIA’s full-stack accelerated computing platform. NVIDIA Omniverse’s comprehensive visualization and simulation capabilities enables improved fleet vehicle operations by providing a live digital twin for monitoring, predictive maintenance, and optimization. Additionally, NVIDIA cuOPT optimizes operations by enabling better and faster decisions for route optimization. The production grade solution runs on NVIDIA L40S GPUs on OCI backed by the OCI Cluster Network (Superclusters) for scalability and resiliency.
