Nick Bartzokas is an R&D Engineer at The New York Times exploring how emerging technologies can be applied in service of journalism. He builds interactive 3D visualizations, XR stories, and machine learning prototypes. Before joining The Times, he served as Associate Director of Science Visualization at the American Museum of Natural History where he worked on “T.rex: Skeleton Crew”, a multi-player VR experience showcased in the SIGGRAPH 2019 Arcade, as well as “Worlds Beyond Earth”, a planetarium film shown at the SIGGRAPH 2020 Computer Animation Festival.
