Yuchen Zhang
Biography
Yuchen Zhang holds a Bachelor of Artificial Intelligence from University of Liverpool and a Master of Computer Graphics, Vision and Imaging from University College London. As an independent developer for Apple Vision Pro and Tech Lead at HoloKit, Yuchen has extensive experience in developing AR applications on Apple devices. Yuchen developed the multiplayer spatial computing game MOFA, which allows players to engage in magic duels akin to those seen in Harry Potter movies in the real world. MOFA received the Best Interactivity Demo Award for CHI 2023. He also created a Unity-based local multiplayer spatial computing framework that employs Apple's AirDrop technology to interconnect HoloKit, iPhones, iPads, and Vision Pros within the same environment. This framework’s networking layer has been included in Unity’s official GitHub repository. Yuchen has co-authored several papers on multiplayer spatial computing technology and the design of spatial computing experiences, presented at international academic conferences including CHI and ISMAR.
