Julian Humml started his academic studies at ETH Zürich, Switzerland, where they earned their Bachelor's and Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and research exposure at Imperial College London—followed by doctoral studies at ETH Zürich on the topic of Self-guided Machine Learning Algorithm for Real-Time Assimilation, Interpolation and Rendering of Aerodynamic Measurements.
He is currently a staff scientist at the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, investigating Human-Machine Teaming combined with Active Learning and Augmented Reality for resolving flow fields and other spatially changing quantities.
