Phil has been advancing technology for animation, VFX, and digital production at industry leading studios and technology companies for 30+ years. His experience runs the gamut from developer and researcher to manager and C-level executive and as a consultant and expert advisor. Phil began his studio career on the groundbreaking animated series, 'Reboot!', the first 100% digital television show. Since, he has held several positions, including leading R&D for ILM, CTO at Digital Domain, SVP and CTO for Walt Disney Studio’s ImageMovers Digital division, as a strategic consultant to clients in the US and internationally, and currently, Distinguished Architect at Autodesk. Phil has twice incubated technology leading to acquisition and has been active in the film industry as a committee member and conference organizer. He is a recipient of an Academy Award for technical achievement and a member of the VES and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
