Biography
Alec Jacobson is an Associate Professor at University of Toronto and Senior Research Scientist at Adobe Research. With a PhD from ETH Zurich and an MA and BA from New York University, he specializes in geometry processing, covering machine learning, simulation, and interactive design tools. He publishes frequently at ACM SIGGRAPH and leads the development of the libigl geometry processing library. His recognitions include the 2015 SGP software award, ACM SIGGRAPH Significant New Researcher Award, Sloan Research Fellowship, and an Outstanding Teaching Award. He has served as conference chair, papers chair and keynote speaker at various conferences.
