Louis-Philippe Demers makes large-scale installations and performances with technologies, AI and Robotics in particular. Demers has built more than 400 machines and he received prizes from Ars Electronica, Vida , Japan Media Arts Festival, Lightforms 98 and Helpman awards. Demers’ academic journey brought him to the Superior School of Design/Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie (ZKM) and the School of Art, Design and Media at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Demers was the Director of the Creative Lab and Professor of Creative Innovation at the School of Creative Practice, Queensland University of Technology.
