Dmitriy Smirnov is a Senior Research Scientist at Netflix, working on the intersection of machine learning, graphics, and computer vision for content creation. He is interested in leveraging techniques in machine learning and artificial intelligence to create tools that empower artists, assisting with tasks in animation, visual effects, and beyond. Prior to Netflix, he obtained a PhD in the Geometric Data Processing Group at MIT in 2022, focusing on applying deep learning to geometric data.
