Biography
Biayna Bogosian is an Assistant Professor of Socially Engaged Design at Arizona State University (ASU). She holds joint appointments in ASU's Design School and the School for the Future of Innovation in Society.
At ASU's Media and Immersive Experience (MIX) Center, Bogosian's research integrates architectural technology, spatial media, and immersive learning. Her work aims to develop participatory approaches that improve the built environment and enhance civic engagement. This research is supported by grants from the National Science Foundation (NSF), NASA, and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
In addition to her role at ASU, Bogosian is the Associate Director of the Robotics and Digital Fabrication Lab at Florida International University (FIU). She is also an affiliate faculty member at FIU, where she was an Assistant Professor from 2019 to 2023.
Bogosian's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Media Arts from the University of Southern California (USC) and a Master of Science degree from Columbia University's Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation (GSAPP).
