Biography
Andrew first created computer graphics nearer to ENIAC than now, but is younger than most of the history committee (in body, not spirit). His first SIGGRAPH was in 1999; he's been going for more than half SIGGRAPH's life, and also his own. He did hardware ray tracing before it was cool, using GPUs from workstation to mobile, in several proprietary, obsolete assembly languages; he now mostly wrangles graphics standards. He knows more than he ever wanted about YUV (including not to call it that), and hopes to retire before our AI overlords take our jobs. Good luck, young whippersnappers.
