Kalina Borkiewicz has been creating cinematic scientific visualizations since 2014, when she joined the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) in the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. As Director of the Advanced Visualization Lab and Director of the Visualization Program Office at the NCSA until 2024, Kalina led teams that created visualizations seen by millions of people in IMAX films, documentaries, museums, social media, and more. Kalina served as Director of the 2023 SIGGRAPH Electronic Theater program, and will be chairing the 2025 SIGGRAPH Courses program. Kalina is currently a PhD student at the University of Utah.
