Presenter
Nikunj Raghuvanshi
Biography
As the product lead for Project Acoustics (Triton), Nikunj Raghuvanshi oversees the adoption of advanced physically-based acoustics within an increasing number of Microsoft game titles, including Gears of War, Call of Duty, and HellBlade 2. Triton deepens the realism of environmental audio in games, paralleling the development of physically-based rendering in graphics, providing artists power tools to move beyond unscalable manual tricks. Nikunj conceived the core ideas of Triton during his PhD thesis work at UNC Chapel Hill in 2009. Over the 15 years leading the project, he has had the fortune of advancing something he loves while working alongside many brilliant artists, researchers and developers along the way, some of whom he now has the fortune of calling his team members.
