Emilia is the CEO of Swissnex in San Francisco. She served as the Policy Advisor to the Swiss President (2018, 2023) and Minister of Home Affairs, Alain Berset for four years before coming to Swissnex. In this role, she focused on foreign affairs, economic policies, and culture, managing international relations. Prior to this, Emilia was the Managing Director of “foraus – the Swiss Think Tank for Foreign Policy” for four years, following her tenure as Deputy Secretary General at the International Chamber of Commerce Switzerland and Focal Point for the UN Global Compact Switzerland. From 2011 to 2013, she worked as a research assistant and author at Année Politique Suisse, specializing in Swiss foreign policy and social groups.
Emilia holds a Master’s degree in Political and Economic Philosophy from the University of Bern and has been a visiting student at University College Dublin and New York University.
