Assistant professor at the School of Computing Science, Simon Fraser University, and the Director of Research at MARZ. Ali leads and manages several industrial and research projects related to Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, Machine Learning, and Computational Design. He holds several research awards and grants, and has over 40 publications in top tier computer vision and graphics conferences and journals, including SIGGRAPH, SIGGRAPH Asia, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICLR and NeurIPS. Ali oversees the research strategy across MARZ AI product portfolio, alongside longtime collaborator and Chief Scientist at MARZ, Daniel Cohen-Or.
