Marc Austin
Biography
Marc Austin is an experienced CG Supervisor based at DNEG’s studio in Vancouver, responsible for the delivery of high-quality assets for DNEG's shows. He most recently worked as a CG Supervisor for Denis Villeneuve’s blockbuster film 'Dune: Part Two’ after successfully working on the Academy Award® winning prequel 'Dune: Part One'. Prior to that, Marc worked on 'Alita: Battle Angel' as Build Supervisor, helping the team deliver hero characters and assets for 270+ shots and ‘Pacific Rim Uprising' where he was responsible for the technical and artistic workflows used to bring the Jaegers to life. Marc started his career as an Industrial Product designer with 3 years of experience, transitioning to a CG artist, creating content, for commercials, TV and print. In 2011 Marc joined DNEG as a Generalist TD to work on shows like 'Total Recall' (2012) and 'Fast & Furious 6' (2013). With a background in design and a high attention to detail, Marc helped lead sequences for films such as 'Total Recall' (2012) and 'Mission: Impossible - Rouge Nation' (2015) and 'Assassin's Creed' (2016).
