Pinyao Liu is an interdisciplinary media artist and researcher based in Vancouver, Canada. He was an artist-researcher in residence at Ars Electronica Founding Lab and a research fellow at Harvard University's Visual Computing Group (VCG). His art practice and research explore immersive technology for social connection, altered states of consciousness, and transformative experiences. His interactive artwork has been exhibited at the 13th Shanghai Biennale, Vancouver International Film Festival VR Gallery, and Ars Electronica. His artistic research has been published in the Leonardo Journal and ACM CHI.
