Biography
Mohit Gupta is an associate professor in the CS department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research interests are in computer vision and computational imaging. His focus is on designing novel computational cameras that enable computer vision systems to perform reliably “in the wild” (in extreme real-world scenarios), as well as building vision systems with functionalities that are not possible with existing systems.

He received a B.Tech. in computer science from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and a Ph.D. from the Robotics Institute, Carnegie Mellon University. Before coming to Madison, he was a postdoctoral research scientist in the CAVE lab at Columbia University. He received a best paper honorable mention award at IEEE ICCP 2014 for his research.
