Presenter

William R. Sherman is a Computer Scientist with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) High Performance Computing and Visualization Group, where he works on tools and projects involving immersive visualization in CAVE and HMD VR systems. Prior to joining NIST, Sherman was a Senior Technology Advisor with the Advanced Visualization Lab at Indiana University, where he also worked on many projects and technologies related to VR and scientific visualization. Likewise he also spent time at the Desert Research Institute and the National Center for Supercomputing Applications managing VR facilities and teams using four- and six-sided CAVE systems. He is also the co-author and editor of four books on virtual reality.
