Biography
Yoehan Oh (he/him) is a Postdoctoral Associate and Lecturer in Computer Science at Yale University. As an interdisciplinary social researcher drawing upon the history of computing, Science and Technology, Platform Studies, and Asian and Asian diaspora studies, his current book project is a sociotechnical history of the South Korean Internet giant Naver's platform machinery and its domestic survival and international expansions. He earned his Ph.D. in Science and Technology Studies from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY (USA). Before that, he earned a Master of Science at the Program of History and Philosophy of Science at Seoul National University (SNU). Prior to academia, he worked for LG Electronics, as a software engineer. He received both B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from SNU.
