Lijiaozi is an interdisciplinary researcher specializing in the sociology of health and illness and medical humanities, holding Mildred Blaxter Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Sheffield, under the auspices of the Foundation for the Sociology of Health and Illness. Her research focuses on the ambiguous boundaries between health and illness, investigating their conceptualization and implications in daily life, public health, and academic studies, particularly within the Chinese context. She brings a culturally nuanced perspective to exploring the intersections of biological and social aspects of health. She is also affiliated with the University of Sheffield's Healthy Lifespan Institute.
