Yu-Kun Lai is currently a Professor in the School of Computer Science and Informatics, Cardiff University, UK. He received his bachelor's and PhD degrees from Tsinghua University, China in 2003 and 2008 respectively. He has published over 200 papers in major journals and conferences in these areas. He is an associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics and The Visual Computer. He was conference co-chair of Eurographics Symposium on Geometry Processing (SGP) 2014 and Computational Visual Media (CVM) 2016, program co-chair of Eurographics Workshop on 3D Object Retrieval (3DOR) 2021 and an associate editor of Computer Graphics Forum (2019-2022).
