Ryusuke Sugimoto
Biography
Ryusuke Sugimoto is a PhD candidate in computer science at the University of Waterloo, under the supervision of Prof. Toshiya Hachisuka and Prof. Christopher Batty. He received his bachelor's degree in computer science and mathematics from HKUST, where he worked with Prof. Pedro V. Sander. His research interests focus on computer graphics, particularly physics-based animation. In his PhD studies, he explores the use of integral equations and Monte Carlo methods for non-rendering tasks. He has also interned at SideFX, contributing to the development of Houdini VFX software, and at Adobe, conducting graphics research.
