Emily Hsu
Biography
Emily’s mission as a Producer is to empower and advocate for the ability of storytelling across the mediums of animation, gaming, visual effects, and beyond. Currently a Line Producer at Netflix Animation with prior experiences at Blizzard Entertainment, LAIKA, Pixar Animation Studios, and PDI/DreamWorks, she enjoys finding the intersections where art and technology meet and engaging with this community around the world as one of the Founders of the Society for Game Cinematics and through her work in SIGGRAPH.
Emily has been an avid SIGGRAPH volunteer for over a decade, having started her conference journey as a Student Volunteer, then as Team Leader, Subcommittee, and finally Program Chair. Emily previously chaired the exciting programs of Production Sessions as well as the Oscar-qualifying Computer Animation Festival Electronic Theater at the SIGGRAPH 2017, 2018, 2019 conferences.
In her return to a Program Chair role as the Real-Time Live! (RTL) Chair for SIGGRAPH 2024, Emily is excited to oversee and shepherd the 15th anniversary live showcase for one of the most thrilling and inspiring pillars of the conference. When it comes to presenting in real-time, ANYTHING can happen!
