Yufan Xie is a multi-disciplinary designer and artist, operating at the intersection of architecture, computational design, sound and audio-visual performances.

Yufan's research focuses on the decision-making process and the perceptual and behavioral functions within multi-sensory narratives, while also exploring the cultural nuances inherent to sensory experiences, challenges the prevailing sensory biases. Since 2019, Yufan has been working on audience-oriented performance narrative and innovating spatial musical systems. Notable projects and studies have been showcased at UABB (Shenzhen Bi-City Biennale), BMAB (Beijing Media Art Biennale), Shenzhen MoCAUP, SUSAS (Shanghai Urban Space Art Season), A+D Museum, Shanghai Digital Futures (CDRF) and SXSW Festival.
