SUMMARY:Implicit Surface Tension for SPH Fluid Simulation
DESCRIPTION:Stefan Rhys Jeske, Lukas Westhofen, Fabian Löschner, José Anto
nio Fernández-Fernández, and Jan Bender (RWTH Aachen University) and Stefa
n Rhys Jeske\n\nIn this paper, we derive and implement an implicit cohesio
n force based approach for the simulation of surface tension effects using
the Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) method. An adapted variant of t
he linearized backward Euler method is used for time discretization, which
we strongly couple with an implicit viscosity model. We compare our impli
cit surface tension method to other approaches and evaluate our model on a
range of complex scenarios.\n\nInterest Area: Research & Education\n\nRec
