SUMMARY:Fabricable 3D Wire Art
DESCRIPTION:Kenji Tojo (University of Tokyo); Ariel Shamir (Reichman Unive
rsity); Bernd Bickel (Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA),
ETH Zürich); and Nobuyuki Umetani (University of Tokyo)\n\nWe computationa
lly create fabricable 3D wire sculptures from various input modalities, in
cluding 3D models, images, and texts. Our curve design algorithm automatic
ally abstracts the various inputs using a pre-trained, vision-language mod
el and ensures fabricability using geometrical constraints. 3D-printable j
igs are also computationally generated to bend wires to fabricate the desi
gn.\n\nInterest Area: Arts & Design, Production & Animation, Research & Ed
 ucation\n\nRecording: Livestreamed, Recorded\n\nRegistration Category: Ful
l Conference, Full Conference Supporter, Virtual Access, Experience, Exhib
itor Full Conference, Exhibitor Experience, Sunday\n\n
