 ing and rendering approach for rendering of cobwebs that maintains the opt
 ical properties of real-life spider webs while being simpler than existing
  methods, employing off-the-shelf visual effects production tools. Existin
 g methods tend to require the use of non-standard software, such as wave-b
 ased rendering systems. Our approach avoids these restrictions by instead 
 focussing on the development of an iridescent shader, suitable for deploym
 ent in common production renderers, that emulates the properties of spider
